The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police was chartered and incorporated in 1995. The organization established its first office in the Boston area and set about informing local police departments about the benefits of joining a national organization like the Fraternal Order of Police.

Today the main office is located in Norton, Massachusetts and the organization has grown considerably. The National Fraternal Order of Police has grown to over 325,000 members

The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police has grown to sixteen local lodges that have members from all walks of Law Enforcement including Local Municipal, City and State Police Officers, County Sheriffs, Corrections Officers, as well as members of various Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.

New lodges continue to be chartered in different areas of the State of Massachusetts as members of the Law Enforcement community discover what the FOP stands for and what the word fraternalism is all about.

The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police is fortunate to have established the second Police Surgeon’s Associate Lodge in the country. The Surgeons Lodge is made up of Doctors from many specialties of medicine that join together in one common goal to support members of law enforcement and their families.

The Fraternal Order of Police offers its members insurance benefits, legal defense, seminars and workshops, publications, and family and community events, just to name a few of the ways we support law enforcement.

When you join The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police you automatically become a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police and have the backing and support of over 325,000 men and women just like you who are members of the law enforcement community.
