Fraternal Order of Police Massachusetts State Lodge
The Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police is a non-profit organization that donates to numerous charities annually. This year the State Lodge will be offering $500.00 scholarships for children and grandchildren of members of the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police who have been accepted to a post secondary school. Note: Only high school graduates for September entrances (June 2013 graduates) or students currently in college may apply. All Active members must be in good standing with National for at least one year and have paid their per capita for the current year.
Listed below are the requirements for the application process:
I. Requirements: 1. The applicant must be a child, step-child or grandchild of an Active Massachusetts F.O.P. member in good standing with National for one year, with per capita paid in full. 2. The applicant must be a full time student with a minimum class load of twelve (12) hours. 3. An applicant who has already been awarded this scholarship may reapply but will only be considered if there are an insufficient number of applicants that have not yet received this scholarship. 4. Any requirement not maintained may cause the forfeiture of any unused funds remaining in the grant.
II. Application Process: 1. The applicant must complete the application packet for the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge that includes: a) The application. b) The most current copy of high school or college transcript through the last semester completed; include your current class standing if available. 2. The applicant must submit the original application to the Massachusetts F.O.P. 3. The Massachusetts F.O.P. Scholarship Committee may interview finalists. 4. The application packet must be complete and postmarked no later than May 24, 2013. 5. Mail the application to:
