Robert “Bobby” Martin Retirement
Recently the Mansfield Police Department honored Sgt. Robert “Bobby” Martin on his retirement after serving the Town Of Mansfield for 30 years. Members of the Mansfield Police Department as well as former colleagues from area law enforcements agencies, family, friends and political leaders came together for Sgt. Martin at the Mansfield Holiday Inn during a retirement party held in his honor.
Local politicians including Senator James Timilty, and State Representatives Betty Poirier and Jay Barrows presented Sgt. Martin with citations from both the State Senate and House of Representatives. Chairman of the Mansfield Board of Selectmen, Louise Amoruso and Town Manager, John D’Agostino praised Sgt. Martin for all that he has done for the citizens of Mansfield. He was also presented certificates and Plaques from the Mansfield Police Association, Chief Arthur O’Neil, The Massachusetts Italian American Police Officers Association as well as the Fraternal Order of Police Bay State Lodge, which he is a member.
