Chief George J. DiBlasi (Ret.)
Law Enforcement Liaison Chief George J. DiBlasi (Ret.), B.A., A.A., in Law Enforcement from Northeastern University on Dean’s List for four years.
A graduate of the FBI Academy’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Course.
Chief DiBlasi served as a police officer for 32 years both in the military and at the municipal level.
Chief DiBlasi held the ranks of Patrolman, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Police Chief for more than sixteen years as a member of three municipal police departments in Massachusetts.
Chief DiBlasi’s career included both investigative and patrol assignments. After service as a municipal police officer, Chief DiBlasi was the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association for six years, which included management and administration of the MCOPA, providing training, legal services, lobbying and support to all Massachusetts Police Chiefs.
Chief DiBlasi also served the MCOPA as the Director of Governmental Affairs for 2 years, which consisted of lobbying both state and federal legislators. As the Director of Governmental Affairs, Chief DiBlasi interacted on a daily basis with legislators and public safety officials at all levels of both the public and private sector.
Chief DiBlasi has served as the Director of Governmental Affairs for the Ma. Fraternal Order of Police for two years. During the tenure with the FOP Chief DiBlasi has worked closely with Public Safety Unions on legislative matters. In the security field,
Chief DiBlasi was a consultant for one of the largest private security company nationally. DiBlasi’s duties consisted of being a liaison between law enforcement agencies, the security company and its clients.
Chief DiBlasi is a member of numerous law enforcement associations. DiBlasi maintains a collegial relationship with members of both law enforcement and the public sector at all levels of government throughout Massachusetts.
Chief DiBlasi is a former President of the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association. Served as an elected member of the MCOPA Executive Board. He was also a member of the Executive Board of the Greater Boston Police Council for several years.
