SURGEONS’ LODGE OF THE MASSACHUSETTS
FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE
MISSION STATEMENT
The Surgeons’ Lodge of the Massachusetts Fraternal Order of Police is a group of dedicated medical professionals representing multiple aspects of medicine and surgery including sub-specialties.
We are committed to support the Massachusetts FOP members, Foundation and charities and to promote a meaningful relationship between the Medical and Law Enforcement Professions.
The Surgeons’ Lodge is an FOP Associate Lodge, one of over 2000 nationally and comprised of over 100,000 members, who support the greater than 350,000 active FOP members nationally. We support them financially, spiritually, in any health related issue and via any other means available.
Members of Surgeons’ Lodge #1 of the Massachusetts FOP volunteer at Massachusetts headquarters in Norton, attend functions, assist in matters of health and answer questions. Our members are called upon daily by members of the police force of local, state and national levels to assist in medical, health-related and social needs, with little regard to self remuneration from the police officers, their families, children or families of deceased officers.
Any medical professional in good standing who lives or practices in Massachusetts and who is considered exceptional by service to the police and or to the local community may apply for membership. All members pledge to support the police community.
